"Why did I say that!"

Have you ever been in a situation with maybe an employer, someone you look up to, or some other individual & you look back later, after the interaction & say, "WHY did I act like that!", "Why did I say that!", "Why didn't I just stop talking!" or something to that effect? Well, I have a little added insight for you.

The other day I had my own experience with this & I was very aware it had been a recurring pattern for me. I had previously taken care of some energetic childhood residue around it & as a natural process of progression, the other night I became consciously aware of something that I needed to acknowledge within myself.

(Just an added note here, having first taken care of the "gunk" that makes it difficult sometimes for us to acknowledge & feel truth about ourselves, makes this much easier by the way! It lays the ground work, so when presented with truth, we can see, feel & embrace it more freely & fully.)

It just so happened, a friend was talking to me about this same thing in regards to a training call with a member of management & how she was so worried about how she sounded & how she behaved. I was able to share my experience with her.

A little background - this gal clearly gives a 110% in all that she does at work! And I have seen first hand that the employer knows & immensely value's this. Here is some of what I shared with her. (I go into a little more added detail here, just to illustrate the actual process I experienced.)

"Just remember that your worth & value as a part of this company is not in question. I think that is SO clear! You do such a beautiful job & work so hard. I know that everyone sees that.

I have realized that for me, when I have worried like this, it comes down to my having an issue presenting about wanting approval. Basically because I don't think I have it, or because I believe it is in question, or needs to be affirmed at some level. (I realize that it does, but not from others!) Then, its like we unconsciously do "over's".

That's why looking back, we go, "What?! Why was I like that!"

We unconsciously over compensate for our own perceived lack or belief in our "disapproval" & actually make it more prominent! (Though most of time it is realistically only ourselves judging our behavior.)

I went on to share with her....

So, the other night when I was having issues with this coming up for me, I did some Energy Work to take care of what I needed to, clearing up some false beliefs presenting - for just that purpose of course.

I was feeling better, but I knew there was something more I was needing to acknowledge here. After taking care of what I was given to take care of, I was very prayerful about being able to see truth here. I knew that Heavenly Father could see much more clearly than I could - especially in my over tired state! Then, I went to bed.

I woke up in the middle of the night with the thought ...."Your worth lies not in what you do or have. Your worth lies in who & what you are."

Absolutely beautiful. And it is true. Cognitively we know that right? But, we also need to feel it.

I realize that we have these experiences so that we can re-affirm these truths within ourselves, & on a "feeling" level. (Acknowledging for yourself, the truth that your are valued, even by this company, because 1st, who you are & 2nd for the work that you do that expresses who you are, brings so much peace....even an inner joy. Even if all we can do is be willing to believe this is true, we will feel the first fruits of a growing inner peace & edification, telling us it is true.)

It's really beautiful how simply being a place of truth within ourselves, also helps things in our "outer" lives to work out really beautiful to."

She wrote me later & shared how this was exactly what she needed to hear. (I always feel so honored to realize that my experiences of growth & progression can benefit another!)

Just remember that who you are is enough. In fact, it is immensely beautiful! And when you acknowledge & feel this within your own being, others around you do as well. The things you do will then even express this beautiful "music".... & do so effortlessly!

A very fulfilling & rewarding way to live your life! Something so many look for & try to make happen. If only they knew it was as natural & innate within them as their own heart beat....
Great news is, they can!

"20 Ways to Find, Sustain & Share Happiness..."

I want to share a post from Carol Tuttle at her blog, thecarolblog.com, that is a perfect compliment to my last two posts. Enjoy!.......

"20 Ways to Find, Sustain & Share Happiness

Happiness is a choice. The more happiness you choose, the more life presents you with experiences to feel happy about. If you are feeling blue or even downright depressed, you must make the decision to “get happy.”

The following tips can help you; however, if you are seriously depressed, get some professional help. There are many new cutting-edge energy therapies that clear away negative emotions and negative thinking.

Find a professional who is more interested in giving you tools and guidance in generating more happiness than in trying to figure out why you feel the way you do. It is not necessary to find out why we feel sad or depressed to clear these feelings.

The bottom line is, if we give a lot of attention to what we don‘t want, we create more of it........

1. Choose to be happy rather than right.

2. Repeat aloud: “It doesn‘t matter.”

3. Pay it forward. For every kind deed offered to you, do a kind deed for someone else.

4. Write thank-you notes frequently. The energy of gratitude feeds happiness.

5. Smile—even if you don‘t feel like it. You eventually will!

6. “Tap-out” your sad feelings. Using your fingertips, tap all over the top of your head while repeating: “I am free of this sadness. I am now feeling happy.” Tapping on the nerve endings on the top of your head will start to lift this heavy, sad energy.

7. When you think a complimentary thought about someone—tell them.

8. Refrain from making judgments—think something positive instead.

9. Whistle.

10. Skip around your house.

11. Turn on your favorite upbeat song and sing along.

12. Ask your angels to flow to you the energy of happiness.

13. Patch your right eye if you are thinking negative thoughts. When you put an eye patch on your right eye, you quiet the left brain and its negative chatter.

14. Hug someone—tightly.

15. Ask your children to tuck you in bed and read you a story for a change.

16. Stay in the present. Let the future be just that: the future.

17. Hold a newborn baby and welcome them into the world.

18. Give some service to someone who is more needy than you.

19. Exercise regularly.

20. Pray and meditate.

And, just because I like to give a little extra, because it makes me happy,

21. Love yourself and make the choice to “BE HAPPY.”

You are a powerful magnet either attracting to you what you don‘t want or what you do want!...."

Thank you Carol for getting right to the point as you do so beautifully!
